NEPHRITE JADE


Jade dates back to 2950 B.C. in China, where it was considered a royal gem. Jade was also prized by the Myan, Olmec and Toltec cultures of South America. The first Jade to be carved in China was known as Nephrite Jade. It is revered for its mystical powers in providing healing and tranquility. Jades major sources are Taiwan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, USA and the former USSR.


Medium to Medium Dark Apple Green, Good Polish, Good Cut, Low Dome Cabochon.
Moh's Hardness = 6 - 6.5.
